PARANG, Maguindanao (Sept. 13/NDBC) - A freak tornado hitthe coastal area of Parang, Maguindanao Friday afternoon and caught residents vendors by surprise, disaster agencysaid today.The Office of Civil Defense of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (OCD-ARMM), said the freak tornado smashed the coastal area of Barangay Magsaysay (Talipapa site), Parang, Maguindanao at 3:30 p.m. while moderate rains coupled with thunder storm and lightning.No casualty was reported.OCD-ARMM said more report to follow. On Thursday, eight houses were destroyed when a similar tornado hit a remote village in Koronadal City as posted earlier on this leading oneline new site in South-Central Mindanao. (NDBC)
