Gensan cops arrest man with gun, bullets

GEN. SANTOS CITY --- Joint elements of Gen.Santos City PNP and Regional Public Safety Battalion and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency(PDEA-12) arrested a man with loose firearms during an operation in Barangay Bula here Saturday.Supt. Romeo Galgo, spokesperson of PRO-12, identified the suspect as Samsodin Macaombang, alias Abraham Pacalna, and seize from him were one caliber 5.56 rifle steel magazine, two caliber 5.56 Rifle Flash Suppressor, 112 rounds caliber 5.56 live ammunition, 13 rounds of live ammunition of caliber .45 and three rounds live ammunition for caliber 9 mm.Galgo said the raiding team, armed with six search warrants for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 9516 or Illegal Possession of Explosives andRA 10591 or Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition against Hadji Caumban Lumna alias Kaw and Samsodin D. Macaombang alias Alex swooped down on Macaombang's house in Santiago subdivision,BarangayBula, General Santos City.The other subject of search warrant, Hadji Caumban Lumna was not around during the raid.The suspect is now undergoing investigation at Gen. Santos City police office.
