Kidapawan IPs get housing units from NHA

KIDAPAWAN CITY -- The National Housing Authority and the local government unit of Kidapawan has turned over 25 units of socialized housing intended for indigenous peoplesin the village of Balabag, Kidapawan City on Friday.The housing units were for members of the indigenous peoples funded by NHA and Kidapawan City government amounting to P50 million.Each unit costs Php100,000. The 25 housing units were part of the 50 housing units planned for the IPs.Speaking over DXND Radyo Bida, Barangay Balabag chair Datu Eduardo Umpan, said construction ofthe remaining 25 units starting July.Present during the turn over ceremonies were Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph Evangelista and North Cotabato 2nd district Rep. Nancy Catamco. The Kidapawan City IPs were among the second group of indigenous peoples in south-central Mindanao identified by NHA as housing project beneficiaries.
