Koronadal starts jubilee countdown

KORONADAL CITY
(Sept. 7/NDBC) — A more festive and grandeur founding anniversary celebrations
await the people of Koronadal City and its environs, an official Monday.

City Mayor
Peter Miguel said to make the celebration more exciting, the city government
will start the countdown for the 75th Founding Anniversary in October.

The local
chief executive said various activities will be added for January 10, 2015
Jubilee celebration.

Founded 74
years ago as Marbel, Koronadal has become one of the most progressive cities in
South Central Mindanao and is now the center of government for SOCCSKSARGEN
Region.

He said
Koronadal is now the region’s economic hub.

SOCCSKSARGEN
region is composed of the provinces of North and South Cotabato, Sultan
Kudarat, Saranggani and the cities of Cotabato, Kidapawan, Tacurong, Koronadal
and Gen. Santos. (NDBC)
