Maguindanao vice mayor's wife shot dead in Tacurong

TACURONG CITY – Two men
riding tandem on a motorbike shot dead here Tuesday a lady police officer who
was the wife of vice mayor in Maguindanao.
Supt. Rannie Hachuela, Tacurong
City police director, identified the victim as Police Officer 3 Lilibeth Sabal detailed
with the Philippine Maritime Group based in Gen. Santos City.
Hachuela said the slain police
officer was the wife of Vice Mayor Abdul Wahab Allan Sabal of Talitay,
Maguindanao.
Citing police investigation report,
Hachuela said the victim and three others were on board a Toyota Hi-Lux (XUV-192)from
Gen. Santos City going to Maguindanao.
They parked in front of a drug store alongthe national
highway in Barangay Buenaflor, Tacurong City to rest when two men on a
motorbike arrived and opened fire on the police officer using cal. 45 pistol at
past 12 noon.
Sabal’s driver, Sammy Alimudin was
hit by stray bullets and was rushed to the hospital while another companion,
Nurshida Monico, was unhurt.
Police said the gunmen wore bonnets
and quickly fled the crime scene heading toward Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.
Hachuela said motive of the
