Midsayap cops raid house, arrest 1, seize illegal drugs

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato - Police arrested here Monday morning a man suspected of illegal drug pushing but missed two others who managed to escape, police said.Supt. Reynante delos Santos, Midsayap police chief, said the police team, armed with arrest warrant arrived raided three houses in Barangay Poblacion 7, Midsayap at 4 a.m.Delos Santos said the raiding team was after three suspects but the two sneaked away as the police arrived, leaving a certain Marco unprepared.He saidQueenie Endayla andAmeryl Enbon fled but the raiding team found about 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu from the couple's home. We suspect the couple was responsible in the proliferation of prohibited drugs not only in Midsayap but in the whole of PPALMAarea, Delos Santos said. PPALMA stands fro Pigcawayan, Pikit, Alamada, Libungan, Midsayap and Aleosan, adjoining towns in North Cotabato that formed an alliance.Marco is now detained at Midsayap police office and facing violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
