Midsayap girl, 16, gang-raped?

MIDSAYAP,
North Cotabato – Police here are hunting down a group of six teenagers who
allegedly gang-raped a 15-year-old girl last week.
Supt. Reynante
delos Santos, Midsayap police chief, said the alleged gang-rape case occurred
after a drinking spree in one of the village halls in town on Wednesday last
week.
The girl
informed her parents Friday she was sexually molested by six men she had a
drinking session with on Wednesday night. She was reportedly traumatized by the incident.Immediately the
parents had the case reported to the police office. The girl issued a sworn
statement Saturday.
Delos Santos
said he received reportsthe suspects who were probably known to the victim have fled.
Delos Santos had
the name of the suspects but refused to reveal this as he appealed to
the boys’ parents to bring their children to police office to issue statement.
He also
refused to reveal the school where the girl was a senior high school and the
place where the alleged gang raped occurred.
Delos Santos
vowed to locate the suspects to shed light on the case even as he said the
suspects’ parents should cooperate with the police in locating them.
