No. 6 man in Sto. Nino drug watch list arrested

STO NINO, South Cotabato - Police authorities here arrested the No. 6 man in its drug watch list following a police anti-narcotics operation Wednesday, police said today.Arrested wasChristopher Pelarco, a former detainee of the South Cotabato provincial detention and rehabilitation center, according to Chief Insp. Joel Fuerte.Fuerte, Sto Nino town police chief, said six sachets of suspected shabu were seized from Pelarco who was arrested in 2004 on charges of illegal drug pushing but freed after the case against him did not stand in court.It took almost a year for the Sto Nino PNP to locate Pelarco who has been pushing for illegal drugs in Sto Nino and nearby towns in South Cotabato.Charges have been filed against the suspect.
