Palace turns over draft BBL to Congress leaders
(UPDATE)MANILA
(Sept. 10/NDBC) – President Aquino today witnessed the turned over the draft
Bangsamoro Basic Law to Senate President Franklin Drilon and House Speaker Jose
Belmonte in ceremonies at Malacanang.
Aquino
said he was confident the draft law was constitutional after Mohaqher Iqbal,
chair of the Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) that drafted the proposal,
handed over the document to Drilon and Belmonte.

Teresita Deles, presidential adviser on the peace process, and Executive Sec.
Paquino Ochoa, witnessed the turn over.
Ang
BBL ay makatuwiran, makatarungan, katanggap-tanggap sa lahat (The BBL is just
and acceptable to all),” Aquino said in a speech.
Nung
nagsimula ang ating termino, ang sinabi natin pwedeng mangarap. Ngayong araw,
natupad natin ang ating mithiin,” he said.

Aquino,
explaining his desire to improve the lives of Bangsamoro people, said he was
promoting social equality.

Saturday, the President will embark on a five-day European tour to improve bilateral ties
among European countries.
