PHL storm-free until Wednesday ITCZ continues to bring rains over Visayas, Mindanao
MANILA -- The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday the country will remain storm-free in the next two to three days.In an interview, PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said the agency has monitored a weather disturbance outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) but it is still too far away and not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone within the next three days or until Wednesday.Aurelio said that most parts of the Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with rains until Wednesday due to the Intertropical Convergenze Zone (ITCZ), the dominant weather system affecting the country. He added the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have fair weather with isolated thunderstorms.Light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over the whole archipelago with slight to moderate seas.
