South Cotabato's most wanted man, 2 others arrested
KORONADAL
CITY – Police authorities here have arrested over the weekend three
men long wanted by law for a string of robbery cases in South Cotabato, police
said.
Senior
Inspector Timonthy Arciso, chief of Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (CIDT)
in South Cotabato, identified the suspects as Hernito Tuan Ungkal, 50 Robin
Fann Maan, 60, and Archie Sulan, all residents of Barangay Tubi-Allah,
Surallah, South Cotabato. Arciso
said Ungkal was the leader of Buroy robbery group responsible in the series of big
time robberies in Surallah and nearby municipalities.
Armed
with an arrest warrant, the Surallah PNP and CIDT operatives swooped down on
the safe house of the three suspects who did not resist arrest but all denied
the charges.
Now
detained at CIDT detention cell, the suspects are expected to be committed to
the court and their eventual transfer to the South Cotabato provincial
rehabilitation and detention center, also in Koronadal City.
Arciso
lauded the Surallah PNP and CIDT operatives for a peaceful serving of warrants
of arrest against the suspects.
