TACURONG CITY - Balik Eskwela, an educational
support program of the city government of Tacurong, conducted its bag
distribution event on Tuesday at the Tacurong Pilot Elementary School
(TPES). In attendance were Mayor Lina Montilla, who personally handed each
school bag to kids Councilor Wilson Ferrer, Councilor Rodrigo Jamorabon, and
Councilor Ariel Dela Cruz. Representatives from the General Services Office and
school faculty also assisted in the distribution.

The bag distribution program aims to
provide new school bags to first graders in all public schools in the city.
Each bag also contains a pair of slippers and school supplies such as
notebooks, pencils, sharpeners, and crayons among others.

There were 439 first graders in TPES
who received their new school bags. After which, the city officials and other
