Warm, humid weather seen until Wednesday
MANILA (PNA) -- Warm and humid weather expected in most parts of the country in the next three days due to two weather systems affecting the country, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).In an interview, PAGASA weather forecaster Manny Mendoza said that Ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) affects Northern Luzon while the easterlies or warm winds from the east prevails over the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.The presence of HPA will bring good weather conditions to the country in the coming days.Despite a warmer weather, the occurrence of isolated rains will still prevail due to localized thunderstorms expect mostly in the afternoon or evening.For Sunday's forecast, Mendoza said that partly cloudy to cloudy skies will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly over the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the east over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.He added that no gale warning has issued which means it is safe for fisher folks to venture into the seas.Mendoza also noted that there is no weather disturbance seen near the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the next two to three days.He said for the month of May, zero to two tropical cyclones may affect the country.
