Sulu school principal shot dead

COTABATO CITY -- An unidentified gunman shot dead Saturday night the officer in charge of a public high school in Luuk, Sulu, the military-led Joint Task Group Sulu said.In a reported posted on TJTG-Suluwebsite,Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado, JTG-Sulu commander, identified the slain school head as Edwin Saraji, 41, a resident of Kakuyagan Village, Jolo, Sulu. He was the OIC principal of Luuk National High School.Citing police reports, Arrojado saidSaraji was walking at about 7:30 a.m. in Barangay San Raymundo, Jolo when a man arrived from behind and sht him in the head using cal. 45 pistol.He died on the spot. The gunman quickly fled on board a motorbike.Police could not say whether the attack on Saraji was work related or personal grudge. Investigation is still going on.
