North Cotabato town agriculturist shot dead

COTABATO CITY – Unidentified gunman shot dead Thursday the municipal agriculturist
of an upland town in North Cotabato, police said today.

Police Chief
Inspector Romy Castañares, President Roxas town police chief, identified the
victim as Antonio Doton, 52, and resident of Kidapawan City.

Castañares
said the victim waswas heading for home at 8 a.m. from Kidapawan City on board a motorcycle
when a lone gunman driving in aseparate motorbike shot him with a cal. 45 pistol. He was hit in his chest and fell from his
bike along a dirt road in Barangay Libuo, also in President Roxas.

Supt. Bernard
Tayong, North Cotabato police spokesperson, told and//www.ndbcnews.com.ph www.ndbcnews.com.ph that two empty shells for cal. 45.

He said motive
of the attack remained unknown as of posting and manhunt has been going on.
