KABACAN, North
Cotabato – Unidentified men shot dead Friday a barangay health worker here that
puzzled police how could it happened against a defenceless civil servant.
Prima Ordonia
Manuel, barangay health worker of Kilagasan, Kabacan, North Cotabato died on the spot from 14 gunshot wounds.

Manual, village chair of Kaligasan, said two men riding tandem on Bajaj
mororbike arrived in the village health center where Manuel and Conchita
Sabutan, another BHW, were inside.
He said the
two came from the direction of Barangay Magatos, also in Kabacan.
Without any
provocation, one of the two suspects entered the building located just beside
the barangay road and shot Manuel who was sitting inside the health facility.
The suspects used cal. 45 pistol.As she fell
from where she was sitting, the suspects immediately fled, leaving the victim
sprawling from her own blood and the stunned Sabutan who was also inside the
room.
The gunmen
were seen heading toward Lower Paatan.

Santiago, Manuel’s live-in partner could not find any reason why she was
brutally killed. He said Manuel has no
known enemy or have not engaged in argument with anybody before the incident.
