Noche Buena products prices stable, ample in Cotabato City

COTABATO
CITY – Prices of so called Noche Buena” products in the city remained stable,
26 days before Christmas, an official of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)
said.

DTI-Cotabato
City chief Carlito Nunez said his office has been closely monitoring Christmas
products” and found out prices remained stable and supplies are enough.

The
Filipinos’ commonly called Noche Buena” products includeand fruit cocktail, ham, keso de bola,
cheese, sandwich spread, mayonnaise, pasta spaghetti, elbow and
salad macaroni, spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, and, cream, among others.

Nunez
said his office also posted SRP” tags in department stores and public markets
to guide the consuming public. SRP
stands for suggested retail price.

At the
same time, Nunez appealed to consumers to check on Christmas decors they buy to
ensure these have markings of ICC stickers or PS marks. ICC stands for Import Commodity Clearance,
ensuring the product’s quality. PS
stands for Philippine Standards (PS) which means products passed quality
control.
