Kidapawan ‘barker’ shot dead by 2 men on motorbike
KIDAPAWAN CITY– Unidentified gunmen shot dead an 18-year-old ‘barker’ and dispatcher of passenger multi-cab along a busy street here Friday, police said. Police identified the victim as Eric Logatso Abad of Barangay Inac, Magpet, who, reports said, were involved in series of theft and robbery incidents not only in Kidapawan City but other neighboring towns in North Cotabato. Superintendent Franklin Anito, chief of Kidapawan City PNP, the victim carried several identities.He used a certain Joshua Icling whose driver’s license was found in his possession. Icling told police Abad stole his wallet, including his license and other identification cards, last March 22. Anito said Abad could have been‘silenced’ by another group of criminals operating in the city. Abad was once a children-in-conflict with law who has stayed at the drop-in center of the City Social Welfare and Development Office for his rehabilitation. Abad’s killing is the first attack of riding-in-tandem in the city since March, reports said. This happened a day after a pawnshop here was robbed by a still unidentified hold-upper, around noon.A considerable cash and some valuables were taken from the store. Police investigators have identified the suspect but he remained at large.
