Army blames NPAs in Agusan burning of construction equipment

AGUSAN DEL SUR - The military here blamed the communist New Peoples Army in the burning of about P40 million worth of heavy equipment of Maja construction company in Barangay Lapaz. The Catholic Media Network reported that 4th Infantry Division commander Maj. Gen. Oscar Lacdao blamed the group ofAlimik Aleosan alias Kagiran of Guerilla Front 88th North Central Mindanao Committee CPP-NPA-NDF. Lacdao said the burning of five heavy equipment has bigger impact on ordinary workers whom the NPA claimed to be protecting and promoting.he said the NPA turned its ire on the equipment after the construction firm ignored its demands for revolutionary taxes. Maja construction company is working on a road network in Barangay Lapaz.
