Couple, students nabbed in Koronadal anti-drug ops

KORONADAL CITY - A couple and two students of a public school here were separately arrested by the City Andit-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) operatives following drug buy bust operation.Dr. Glorio Sandig, CADAC action officer, said Carl Renza Dumalog and his live-in partner, Ariana Pagod were arrested during the 2 p.m. operation in Agan Est, Barangay Sta Cruz, Koronadal City.The suspects, both boarders, were nabbed after they handed over a sachet of suspected shabu from a poseur buyer.

Man kills wife, lesbian in North Cotabato

KIDAPAWAN CITY – A55-year old husband shot dead his own wife after a heated argument while inside the family’s compound at Purok Rosal in Poblacion, Matalam, around 6 a.m., Tuesday, police reports said.Senior Inspector Sunny Leoncito, chief of Matalam Police, identified the slain wife as Evelyn dela Torre-Belgira, 54, employee at the Matalam municipal government.Also dead was a certain Miraluna Brigole, 27, who worked as laborer in the Belgira’s family.Brigole, according to Leoncito, was a member of the Lesbian-Gay-Bi-Transgender (LGBT) family.Wounded were Evelyn’s father, Eduard dela Torr

15 rebels die, 10k civilians flee military offensives in Liguasan marsh

Cotabato – More than 10,000 civilians fled the on-going military offensives
against lawless elements in Liguasan marshland Sunday in the borders of
Maguindanao and North Cotabato.

The military said
the air and ground assaults was meant against Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom
Fighters (BIFF), a Maguindanao-based armed group that pledged allegiance to
ISIS.

Look! CLPC skeds brownout on June 9

COTABATO CITY -- The Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) has announced a scheduled electric service interruption in some areas in the city on Saturday.Arlene Hepiga of Cotabato Light public affairs office said the power interruption will start at 8 a.m until 11 a.m. on June 9.The three-hour service interruption is necessary to facilitate the replace of transformer. It cannot be done if the power lines are live (energized), thus the scheduled service interruption for the safety of our linemen. Affected are some portions of Barangay RH 7 and RH 10, Cotabato City.
