4 men from Maguindanao arrested in Koronadal for illegal drugs, gun possession

KORONADAL CITY – Acting on a tip from a reliable informant, police and South Cotabato
highway patrol operatives arrested four persons and seized prohibited substance
from them during a checkpoint in Barangay Morales Monday afternoon.
Supt. Barney
Condes, Koronadal City police director, said the suspects yielded suspected
methamphetamine hydrochloride, a home-made pistol, shabu paraphernalia and cash
amounting to P3,800.
We wonder why
they have so many mobile phones and Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards,”
Condes said after they accosted the supects at 4 p.m.
Condes told Radyo
Bida Koronadal in an interview that the suspects were on board a green Honda
Civic heading toward Koronadal City from Datu Abdullah Sangki, Maguindanao.
Condes
identified them as Taks Palti Buhisan, 45 of
Barangay Salvo, Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat Amilil Bayao Ambilong, 31, Barangay Matagobong,
Ampatuan, Maguindanao Salahudin Abdullah Emblawa, 29 and Rhojan Manampad Kuit,

When the
vehicle was approaching Barangay Morales, its passengers noticed police
implementing Oplan Lambat Sibat,” and decided to pull over and parked.
But the police
turned suspicious and approached the vehicle to check its car
registration. It turned out the driver
has no driver’s license and the vehicle without legal documents, Condes said, adding it could be a carnapped vehicle.
Condes said
the further investigation showed the suspects were to deliver several sachets
of shabu to an unidentified recipient in Koronadal City.
