6th ID chief honors injured infantryman

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao Norte - Mismong si 6th ID at Joint Task Force Central Commander Major General Alex S. Rillera ang nag-abot ng medal of wounded personnel kay Staff Sergeant Alejandro Puon na kasapi ng 6th Mechanized IB.

Ang pinning of medal ay ginanap sa Camp Siongco Station Hospital, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.

Si Puon ay isa sa apat na mga sugatan sa nangyaring strafing incident sa Crossing Simuay Elementary School sa bayan ng Sultan Kudarat.

Kakatapos lang noon ng botohan nang mangyari ang walang habas na pamamaril ng hindi pa kilalang mga suspek sa labas ng polling precinct.

Sa ngayon, patuloy pang iniimbestigahan ng Sultan Kudarat PNP ang insidente at wala pang natukoy na mga suspek.

Samantala, pinuri naman ni Rillera ang lahat ng mga sundalong tumulong sa pulis at COMELEC para maidaos ng maayos ang halalan sa Bangsamoro Region.
