Alamada PNP arrest woman in alleged illegal drug trade

ALAMADA, North Cotabato - Police arrested here a woman suspected of selling prohibited drugs Thursday in the village of Dado, officials said.Senior Inspector Jeoffrey Todenio, Alamada police chief, identified the suspect as Jesica Cartos, 27 of Barangay Dado.Todenio said Cartos had been placed on surveillance after receiving information that she was into illegal drug trade. Armed with a search warrant, police raided Cartos' house and seized five sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride, bullets for cal. 45 pistol and Armalite rifle. She told police the bullets were owned by her former live-in partner who was a soldier. Police also learned the drugs taken from Cartos' house were taken from Barangay Sambolawan and Pigcawayan and sold in Alamada.
