ARMM-HEART extends aid to Pagalungan IDPs

PAGALUNGAN, Maguindanao - Personnel of the Humanitarian Emergency Action Response Team (HEART), the humanitarian arm of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), today distributed initial relief aid to hundreds of villagers displaced by clashes involving Moro rebels.Personnel fromARMM HEART and Office of Civil Defense (OCD-ARMM) are still conducting validation and assessment of internally displaced persons at Pagalungan gymnasium and Pagalungan Old Market.Initial report as of today, the skirmishes between Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) have displaced a total of 1,200 families.
