Cooperative cashier robbed of P54,000 cash

MIDSAYAP, North
Cotabato – A cashier of a local cooperative here lost some P54,000 cash to
three hold-up men who forcibly took her bag containing the money.

Erlinda
Torino, 44, of Barangay Malamote, Midsayap, North Cotabato was heading for a
local bank to deposit the amount when three men armed with knife and hand gun
blocked her path.

One of them
grabbed her bag. When she resisted, another suspect hit her in the head with
something hard.

Supt. Reynante
delos Santos, Midsayap police chief, said Torino was to deposit the amount to a
local bank when the incident happened.

Responding policemen failed to catch up with the suspects who fled on a motorbike.Torino is now
confined at a local hospital for head injuries.

Police are
still investigating the incident.
