Cops arrest Midsayap farmer in illegal drug trade

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato- Police herearrested Sunday a farmer believed to be involved in illegal drug trade following a joint police raid in the village of Nalin.Supt. Reynante delos Santos, Midsayap police chief, identified the suspect as Datukan Anok Badal, 42, married and resident of Barangay Nalin.The raiding team seized 10 sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, a cal. 45 pistol and shabu parahernalia.Reacting to police intelligence report organized a team composed of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, police regional safety battalion and Midsayap PNP.Badal did not resist arrest but denied he was engaged in illegal drug activities.He is now detained at Midsayap PNP lock up cell while charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against him.
