Cotabato City 'Habal-Habal' driver arrested in Koronadal for shabu pushing

KORONADAL CITY - A habal-habal (passenger motorbike) driver from Cotabato City was arrested here Wednesday during an illegal drug buy bust operation, police said.Arrested due to possession of shabu (Mehtamphetamine hydrochloride) was Ismael Darandas, 27 of Barangay Bagua 2, Cotabato City, according to Chief Inspector Ramil Villagracia, South Cotabato provincial anti-illegal drug task force.Villagracia said an illegal drug buy bust operation was conducted on Darandas in front of a food chain along Gen. Santos Drive, Koronadal City at past 11 a.m after the task force received a tip from concerned citizen.Darandas yielded three sachets of suspected shabu.Villagracia said Darandas has been placed under surveillance for a while due to his alleged involvement in illegal drug pushing.Darandas told investigators that a friend asked him to deliver the stuff worth about P9,000to someone in front of the food chain.
