DSWD-12 sends aid to typhoon 'Ruby' victims
KORONADAL CITY - To help the government address the needs of the victims of typhoon Ruby, The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 12 have sent at least 5,000 food packs to Tacloban and Samar. Dennis Domingo, DSWD 12 Information officer, said the food packs were already hauled from their office in Koronadal City and is now being transported to Tacloban and Samar. The food packs that were sent to calamity stricken provinces consists of rice and canned goods,” Domingo told DXOM FM Koronadal. Private sectors and concerned government agency like the Bureau of Fire Protection, military and police, also helped in repacking and hauling of the food packs. Typhoon Ruby left 22 people dead in Visayas, most of the victims were from Samar.
