Employee of Manila-based firm shot dead in Cotabato City

COTABATO CITY - Unidentified gunman shot dead an employee of the Manila-based construction firm in Barangay Kakar, Cotabato City Tuesday, police said.Senior Inspector Reynaldo Delantin, police station 2 commander, identified the victim as Willen Pesante, 49, resident of Gutierrez Avenue, Cotabato Cityand employee of KCN construction firm.Delantin said Pesante, who works as project checker,was waiting for a ride when an unidentified man arrived, talked to him. Minutes later, Pesante was shot. Hedied on the spot.KCN construction firm is doing road concreting project on a diversion road that will connect Barnagay Poblacion 8 and Tamontaka, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.Delatin said the motive could be personal grudge.
