Employment rate up in R-12

COTABATO CITY – The
Department of Labor and Employment in Region 12 (DOLE-12) today announced employment
rate in the region has slightly improved this year as compared to last year.
Ofelia Domingo,
DOLE-12 regional director, attributed the increased employment record to
expansion of industries and an improved regional economy.
Employment rate has increased by
0.7 percent or 96.8 percent employment rate as of November from 95.9 percent
last year,” Domingo said in a statement to DXMS Radyo Bida
Simply said, the 0.7 percent employment rate means 2,742,000 were employed this
year as against 2,700,000 in 2013.
In the same breath, DOLE 12 said the unemployment rate has decreased from 4.1 percent
in 2013 to 3.4 percent this year.
