EXCLUSIVEand Koronadal PNP arrest second suspect in Koronadal bloody heist

KORONADAL CITY - After several weeks of intelligence operations, the Koronadal City policearrested another suspect in the daringrobbery-hold-up incident of Agencia Brillantes along Osmena Street, Koronadal City that left 2 security guards dead and four others wounded. Anwar Tangcuangan, allegedly working as a utility at the office of the Vice Mayor of Datu Paglat Municipality in Maguindanao, was intercepted by policemen at the boundary of Tacurong City and Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat Tuesday afternoon. He was identified thorough an identification card recovered from him by the arresting team. Also recovered from his possession was a Honda XRM motorcycle with no license plate and an assumed amulet. According to reports gathered by DXOM FM Koronadal, the suspect admitted to the crime and received P74,000 share. He was identified as the one who traded shots withthe responding team of Koronadal City PNP while fleeing on boarda motorcycle after committing the crime on September 18. Superintendent Nestor Salcedo, Koronadal City Chief of Police, said the arrest of Tangcuangan was an answered prayer. I really prayed hard for this, for the sake of the families of the victims,” Salcedo told DXOM FM Koronadal. Khadaffy Guiamelon, another suspect in the robbery-hold up incident, was arrested in Cotabato City last September 21. He pleaded not guilty to the crime of robbery with homicide. He is now detained at the South Cotabato Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation center under tight security.
