Gunmen kill elderly couple in Midsayap

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato - Unidentified gunmen shot dead Monday night an elderlycouple in the village of Bituka here in what police believed was motivated by personal grudge.Supt. Reynate Delos Santos, Midsayap police chief, identified the victims as Amancio Herbolingo, 71 and his wife Virginia, 68.Police investigators the victims were asleep when about five gunmen arrived and after few minutes opened fire on the victims.Police said the suspects were only after the couple since they spared the children sleeping beside them. The gunmen used M-14 rifle in the shooting and quickly fled.Investigation is still on going.
