Kidapawan police chief upset over crime victims' apathy
KIDAPAWAN CITY - Police here expressed dismay over peoples' apparent indifference in helping the police solve crimes. This is our problem, if people do not cooperate with the law enforcers, especially those directly involved, Supt. Franklin Anito, Kidapawan City police chief, told DXND Radyo Bida Friday. Families of victims of robbery or crime against life refused to fully cooperate, Anito said. He added he was not referring to all cases but to some families of the victims or the victims themselves. More than 20 cases of shooting involving suspects riding tandem on motorbikes in the first half of 2014.He said when police found vital leads in a particular crime incident, the victims or relatives refused to cooperate with the law enforcers making it difficult for the police to build up a case.
