LTO-Midsayap explains delays in releases of driver's license

MIDSAYAP,
North Cotabato – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) here today clarified it
is not releasing drivers’ licenses but only accepts application and renewal.

Abutazil, LTO-Midsayap chief, issued the clarification after complaints have
been aired about the delay in the release of plastic driver’s licenses from his
office.
Abutazil
said Region 12, composed of the provinces of North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat,
South Cotabato, Saranggani and the cities of Cotabato, Kidapawan, Koronadal,
Tacurong and Gen. Santos, has licensing centers various areas in the region.
He
said the plastic driver’s licenses are only issued by the LTO licensing centers.
In the case of Midsayap or nearby areas applicants, can claim the driver’s
licenses at LTO licensing center in Cotabato City regional office. Aside
from Cotabato City, LTO licensing centers are in Kidapawan City, Tacurong City,
Koronadal City and Gen. Santos City.
Applicants
ran to local media seeking help and explanation why the plastic driver’s
licenses had not been release more than five months after filing.
