Multi-awarded NDBC journalist speaks in Japan conference
COTABATO CITY - Ms. Malu Cadelina-Manar, the multi-awarded broadcast journalist of the Notre Dame Broadcasting Corporation (NDBC)is set to speak during the Asia-Pacific Regional Media Conference in the City of Hiroshima, Japan. Manar, currently the head of DXND News and Current Affairs Head and Special Programs, will speak about Reporting of Conflicts and Disastersand The Media Debates its Role.' She will share her expertise in covering and reporting ethno-religious tensions in Southern Philippines. She was invited by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) along with Nadia Trinidad of ANC-ABS-CBN.In 2011, Manar was a delegate to the 6th East Asia Teachings on the International Humanitarian Law at the University of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. Aside from local and regional awards and recognition, Manar was among the Filipino journalists who was recipient ofBest Humanitarian Reporting Awards by the ICRC from 2011 to 2013.
