NGCP steel tower in Aleosan repaired

ALEOSAN, North Cotabato - The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has completed repair works of a bombed steel tower in BArangay Pagangan here, police and NGCP today said.Melfrance Capulong, speaking for NGCP, said repair works of Tower No. 63 was completed on Saturday without resistance from lawless elements responsible in setting off impprovised bomb on January 14.NGPC line men immediately conducted the repair works during the first hours of Friday after two of the four legs of steel pylon was damaged. The tower was not toppled, according toSenior Inspector Jun Napat, Aleosan police chief.He said measures are up to protect other towers in Aleosan with the help of village officials and watchmen.No one has claimed responsibility for the attack in Aleosan, the first this year. NGPC said 16 towers were destroyed in 2015 due to bomb attacks.
