Nightmare forced Koronadal murder suspect to confess, leads police to grave site

KORONADAL CITY - After his victim appeared”
in his dreams, a murder suspect in Koronadal City surrendered to village
officials and led police to his victim’s graveyard Tuesday.
Jusie Jalona, 34, married and resident of Purok
Roxas, Barangay Esperanza, Koronadal City admitted he had sleepless nights and one
evening, his victim, Jorie Gulae, 33 from Barangay Kiblawis, Kiblawan, Davao
del Sur, appeared in his dream, crying for justice.
Binan Jialuna, purok president of Purok Pres.
Roxas, told DXOM-AM Radyo Bidathe suspect confessed to her about the creepy
crime.
Jialuna said the Jalona told her that he suspected
Gulae to have robbed him of his P24,000 cash. She said that led to the murder.

Jalona welcomed Gulae in his home in August after
the latter claimed he has no relative in Koronadal.
On Christmas Day, the two had a drinking spree and
when opportunity came, Jalona slashed Gulae’s neck using a sharp lagaraw”
(curved cutter used for harvesting palay).
He then buried him in a shallow grave in the middle of a corn field in
Barangay Paraiso, Koronadal City.
Police Scene of the Crime Operatives dug up Gulae’s
remains Tuesday morning.
