NorCot teachers receive umbrella, raincoat from prov'l government
KIDAPAWAN CITY
– With climate change causing sudden rain in the province, the provincial
government of North Cotabato has distributed umbrellas, shoes, raincoats and
brooms to public elementary and high school teachers in the province.
The
distribution, which the teachers say the first-ever in the history of the
province” was a thing they least expected from the highest official of the
province.
Grade 6 and
Grade 10 graduating students will have their shoes too by March next year.
Governor
Emmylou Mendoza led the distribution of the shoes, umbrellas and raincoats in
many schools where she was warmly welcomed by the teachers and students.
This is to show our support to the teachers
who painstakingly carry on their duties and responsibilities everyday no matter
what the climate would be,” Mendoza said.
