Pikit mayor condemns bomb attack on UCCP Church
PIKIT, North Cotabato --Mayor Muhayryn Sultan Casi today condemned the attack on UCCP Church Wednesday nightand
vowed to work for the early solution of the incident.
She told DXND Radyo Bida fear now prevail amongthepeople of Pikit because of the incident when two men riding tandem on a motorbike allegedly fired rifle grenade toward the UCCP Church while people inside were praying.Casi
called a town peace and order council meeting today to form task force that
will focus in the speedy solution of the bombing.
She
said the local government unit will raise reward money for anyone who can
provide information that could help police authorities identify the
perpetrators, arrest and prosecution.
To
all the victims, rest assured your local government unit is doing its best to
solve the bombing,” she said.
Pikit
local government unit LGU will shoulder all the medical expenses of the wounded
victims and burial expenses of those who died. Pikit is a first class municipality in the
province of North Cotabato, Philippines with a population of 113,014 people per
2010 census, majority of whom were Maguindanaon.
