MANILA (PNA) -- President Benigno S. Aquino III is calling on
Filipinos to continue supporting the peace process in Mindanao despite
the Mamasapano incident. Tandaan
kapayapaan sa Mindanao,” the President said in his speech during the
29th EDSA Revolution anniversary rites Wednesday. President
Aquino stressed this amid calls to stop the peace process in Mindanao
and the passage of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) following the
Mamasapano clash that left 44 police commandos dead last Jan. 25. Ginintuan
masisigurado na magkakaroon ulit ng ganitong oportunidad?,” he said. The
Chief Executive said these initiatives should not be outdone by
anti-peace advocates, as this will only worsen turmoil in Mindanao.
kapwa natin Pilipino,” the President said.Further,
President Aquino said many countries, including Malaysia, have already
expressed support to the country’s peace agreement between the
government and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). Ngayon,
Region of Muslim Mindanao) dahil sa maraming dahilan.
President said.
(PNA) LAM/LDV rel= href= and//www.pna.gov.ph/index.php?nid=0
