Robredo, De Lima, Ambolodo assured of Maguindanao votes
BULUAN, Maguindanao –- Vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo believed local government units, down to the barangay level, should be empowered to bring down good governance to the grassroot level.Robredo and two administration senatorial aspirants – former Justice Sec. Leila de Lima and Bangsamoro senatoriable Ina Ambolodto, were special guests of the prayer rally and Grand Kanduli of the ruling Liberal Party in Maguindanao Monday, signalling the start of local campaign which local LP stalwarts vowed to be above-board” and away with the traditional mudslinging campaign.Regional Gov. Mujiv Hataman and Maguindanao Gov. Esmael Mangudadatu both vowed to deliver votes to LP standard bearer Mar Roxas, telling supporters reforms should continue from the national to regional and local level, especially in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
Before the Grand Kanduli (thanksgiving)” proclamation rally in Buluan, LP stalwarts and local candidates with their supporters gathered at the ARMM compound for the prayer rally during which leaders call for candidates from other parties to help and work for peaceful ARMM elections.Warm welcome and colourful events greeted Robredo, de Lima, Ambolodto and Hataman at the Buluan provincial capitol grounds.Robredo told supporters she and her late husband Interior Secretary Jessie Robredo have actively supported the Mindanao peace process. She also reminded the supporters that she supported the extension of term of office of barangay elected officials for two years. De Lima, on the other hand, recalled how her heart became close to the people of Maguindano when she devoted her time in defending the victims of Maguindanao massacre in 2009. She vowed to work for justice for all victims of injustices in Maguindanao and the entire country.Ambolodto who was assistant secretary when Roxas was at the helm of the DILG said she was happy to serve the people of Maguindanao, her kababayan, her hometown and all the Bangsamoro.Robredo, De Lima and Ambolodto believed majority of the people of Maguindanao are for Roxas and the administration senatorial candidates because of the reforms this administration had instituted in Maguindanao and the Filipino people.
