Search for Church's outstanding Filipino families ongoing
MANILA – The Episcopal Commission on Family and Life chaired by Daet Bishop Gilbert A. Garcera, D.D. and Marriage Encounter Foundation of the Philippines led by chair couple Robert – Tinette Aventajado reminded the diocesan organizations about the deadline for submission of official nomination forms for The Search for Outstanding Families 2016” on July 31, 2016.In a letter addressed to the chairmen and coordinators of diocesan Family and Life Ministeries nationwide, the Aventajados and Garcera said the search was launched during the Post Synodal Conference in Bacolod last February 17. We strongly encourage all Dioceses to participate in the Search because we believe this will teach us the values of the Filipino family and validate the significant contribution of being a church of the poor,” reads the circular.The award is open to all families, particularly the poor, composed of a father, mother, and a significant number of children. They must belong either to the C, D economic classes although preferrably from the E economic class.
