Sec. Luistro leads ARMM world handwashing day

COTABATO CITY - Education Sec. Armin Luistro and Sec. Jamar Kulayanwill lead today's observance of the Global Handwashing Day in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) inBarangay Sarmiento, Parang, Maguindanao.Kulayan, regional secretary of the Department of Education in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DepEd-ARMM), said the observance of hand washing day among public schools in the provinces of Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi is happening only in ARMM from the country's 16 regions. It simply aims to help ensure school children are free from communicable diseases, Kulayan said of the hand washing activity. It is also hope to develop multiplier effect among ARMM school children's family and friends back home, Kulayan said.
