Sultan Kudarat school principal shot, stabbed to death
KORONADAL CITY - Policemen in Sultan Kudaratare still investigating the killing of a school principal in a remote village of Columbio, Sultan Kudarat, Monday. Senior Inspector Teng Bacal, Columbio’s chief of police, identified the victim as Mutalib Salvo, 54 and onOIC-Principal of Sinapulan Elementary School. Police investigation showed that while driving his motorcycle on his way home in Maligaya village, Salvo was shot by two gunmen riding tandem on separate motorbike. Hit on his arm and fell from his motorbike after he crashed, Salvo tried to escape by running but the other suspect chased him and stabbed him to death. The victim was declared dead on arrival at a local hospital because of stab wounds on his chest and neck,”Bakal told DXOM FM Koronadal City. The Honda TMX motorcycle used by the suspects was recovered by policemen in the village of Libertad hours after the killing. Bakal could not reveal yet the name of the suspects and their motive for killing the victim. He said manhunt was still on going.
