KORONADAL CITY - Judge Lorenzo Balo of Regional Trial Court Branch 24 said the judiciary has improved during the term of President Aquino.Balo made the statement after President Aquino's last State of the Nation Address which drew flak from oppositions and pessimists. He said despite opposing views on the Disbursement Acceleration Fund (DAF) and Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), the judiciary remained independent and earned the respect of the executive branch of the government.Balo said the current administration has done something in the locality that his predecessors failed to do. Among them is the establishment of additional municipal and citycircuit trial courts, particularly in Surallah, Polomolok and Koronadal City, he said, adding that these are indicators Pres. Aquino has done more in the country's third branch of government.
