Sayadiand Influential persons prevent filing of charges vs. bombers

COTABATO CITY - Lawyer Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi, city administrator, today said some personalities have been influencingthe Department of Justice to delay or not to file the charges against men involved in the August 5, 2015 bombing in Cotabato City.Sayadi did not name who these persons are or give any hint on their identities.Speaking over DXMS Radyo Bida, Sayadi said she could not think of any other reason why the DOJ has not filed the charges yet despite strong evidences against the suspects. Two years have gone but no charges have been filed against the suspects, she said, adding that as long as the perpetrators remain at large the threats remain.Sayadi was riding on a Chevrolet vehicle when a Toyota town ace vehicle parked along Sinsuat Avenue rigged with improvised bombs and gallons of flammable materials went off, killing eight persons and wounded more than 30 others.She said she was convinced the bomb was dedicated to her and Mayor Japal Guiani Jr.
