Marawi cops appeal for witnesses vs. gang rape suspects
MARAWI CITY - Police authorities here have appealed to witnesses who have information on the alleged gang rape case here last week.Speaking over DXMS Radyo Bida, Chief Insp. Philmor Kalib, Marawi City police director, has appealed for witnesses or anyone who has information of the incident to come forward so charges can be filed against the four suspects arrested by village watchmen and handed over to police.Kalib identified the arrested suspects asSalman Udag Sambitory Jabbar Rikta Macacua Elias Kamote Pimping, and Jalil
Alilit Sani.
Kalib said the victim's neighbors arrested the suspects after the alleged gang rape and burning of the victim's house in Barangay Malutlot, Marawi City on August 14. The suspects also took away valuables they found inside the house.Police are now preparing charghes ofrape,
homicide and robbery.
Three other suspects remained at large.But the arrested suspects all denied the charges against them.
