Man hurt in Cotabato City shooting robbers fall

COTABATO CITY - Police here have launched a manhunt against an 18-year-old boy who shot and seriously wounded a resident of Sousa Street, Cotabato City Monday night.Police are hunting down the suspect who grabbed the Samsung tablet of John Dacanay, residents of Rosary Heights 1, Cotabato City. Dacanay was shot in the headwhen he resisted.Police said Dacanay was playing games using his Samsung gadget when the suspect, armed with a hand gun, quietly approached him then grabbed his tablet.Dacanay resisted but he was shot in the head. He was rushed to the hospital where he told police that his attacker was about 17 to 20 years old and5'5'' in height.Meanwhile, three men were arrested for allegedly robbing a cargo forwarding office along Notre Dame Avenue, Cotabato City.Detained were Peter Mamolintao, 28, Benhur Matula Palti alias Wel, 24 Jun Mato Mandalugan 31, all residents ofAlmonte Extension, Barangay Poblacion 2. Virgilio Balofinos, cargo forwarder office manager, told police of the robbery which occurred at past 12 noon.A follow up operation led to the arrest of Mamolintao. He led police to the location of his companions. Stolen items have been recovered.
