CHED eyes wage hike for state colleges, universities teachers

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Starting next year, the Commission on Higher Education will start implementing salary hike for state colleges and university professors and teachers, Rep. Roman Romulo, who visited Kidapawan City over the weekend said.Romulo, chairperson of Committee on Higher and Technical Education, said the P1.3 billion budget intended for wage adjustment of teachers in 112 colleges and universities nationwideis included in the 2016 proposed budget.Romulo also announced the opening of 5,000 new plantilla positions for existing contract of service and former teachers.
