Tampakan cops seize shabu, grenade in anti-drug raid

KORONADAL CITY - More and more men engaged in illegal drug trade landed in jail as South Cotabato police have intensified campaign versus illegal drugs.On Monday afternoon, members of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force, led by Chief Inspector Ramil Villagracia, raided a house along Yakal Street,Barangay Poblacion, Tampakan, South Cotabato and arrested Mark John Compendio.Senior Inspector Sherwin Maglana, Tampakan police chief, said the raiding team was armed with an arrest warrant issued by Judge Renato Tampac, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 25, Hall of Justice, Koronadal City.Recovered from Compendio's house was three sachets of suspected shabu, paraphernalia and a live fragmentation grenade.Compendio is now detained at Tampakan PNP detention cell while charges for violation of RA 9165 and illegal possession of explosives are being prepared against him.
